According to a survey conducted by Gallup, there has been a big decline in the percentage of Indians who rate their lives as “positively thriving” ever since Prime Minister Modi filled in the office. It had reduced from 14% in 2014 to just 3% in 2017. While the unemployment rate, living wage, and per capita GDP has increased, the monthly wages for low-skilled workers has decreased from ₹13,300 to ₹10,300. Young people are entering the workforce at a much faster rate as compared to job growth. All these facts tend to indicate an ambiguous view of the government.
