Despite a tough break in May, Three Brothers Bakery is finishing the holidays off with a bang. Its Braeswood location will be open 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Christmas Day.
In just two days in mid-December, co-owners Janice and Bobby Jucker and their team hit their all-time high: shipping out, delivering and selling thousands of pies.
“You’re probably talking about 4,000 in just two days as a record,” Janice said. “I mean, Thanksgiving, you know, I have been so busy we haven’t had time to stop and analyze our numbers really. We just keep going, going, going. It will be interesting at the end of the season, to see how that business compares.”
She added their corporate pies sales had jumped by at least 1,000 and that their online sales would likely be a record as well.
Janice Jucker still attributes the success to a young intern at Country Living Magazine named Sarah, who called the bakery in 2010 looking for some pie samples.
