A newly purchased building will support current and future growth for a local credit union, which plans to occupy the entire facility in the coming years.
Wright-Patt Credit Union, the largest credit union in the Dayton region, bought the Pentagon 1 building in Beavercreek for $5.2 million, I first reported last week. The building, located at 3610 Pentagon Blvd., sits just west of the company’s headquarters.
A total of 9,000 square feet are available to WPCU today, and the company eventually plans to occupy all 31,000 square feet in the Beavercreek facility. It will also keep its nearby headquarters at 3560 Pentagon Blvd.
Tracy Szarzi-Fors, vice president of marketing and business development for WPCU, said one of their ideas is to move more specialized business units into the new location, which may include retirement services and member business services teams. She said those details are still under discussion.
The credit union has plans to hire new employees, and the additional space will make it easier to accommodate for the planned workforce increase, she said. WPCU currently employs 868 people in the Dayton…
