The management and staff of FNNB Bank in Newton made a $2,000 donation to the local Salvation Army program recently.
Rob Kahn, president and CEO for the bank, said this is an annual contribution from the bank to benefit the Salvation Army’s Food Bank. Kahn added the bank also hosts a food drive that bank employees and customers also contribute items.
“Community engagement and support is a huge part of our bank’s mission,” Kahn said. “We feel being a good corporate citizen by giving back to the community is integral to our business.”
Salvation Army Captain Janelle Cleaveland said the money will be used to purchase food for the food boxes given to Jasper County families once a month.
“We are grateful to First Newton National Bank and other generous people of Jasper County,” she said.
