Theft, Maplewood Avenue
A man reported that an unknown person used his wife’s debit card to make $481 worth of unauthorized purchases from Reebok between 5:15 Oct. 14 and 12:20 p.m. Oct. 15. The victims said the card was used “regularly” over the past few days, but they suspect a restaurant in Strongsville, where payment was made over the phone, may be involved. The incident was still under investigation at the time of the report.
Warrant, Boston Road
Police responded to a dispute at a gas station between a boyfriend and girlfriend at 8:25 p.m. Oct. 13. The dispute was reportedly involving a baby. The boyfriend was found to have an outstanding felony warrant for dangerous drugs from the Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Office, as well as a bench warrant for failing to appear on a theft charge in Strongsville. He was taken to the Medina County Jail for pickup by Cuyahoga County.
Disorderly conduct, Beverly Hills Drive
A man was arrested at 11:43 p.m. Oct. 12 when police responded to a disturbance call. Officers heard screaming and saw a physical altercation through a sliding glass door. The man was intoxicated and had caused damage to the apartment. Residents had tried to restrain him prior to police being call and were unable to. The man was later released to a sober person.
